About Prof. Peter

In 2025, I concluded a long and versatile career to fully dedicate myself to the project Prof. Peter’s Paper Trails. Born in the Netherlands as Peter Buitelaar, and later embracing Islam with the accompanying name Mohd Parid Jaya, I currently reside and work in Putrajaya, Malaysia. This project was born out of a desire to provide deeper insight into the numerous social and human issues that move so many of us today.

Within this platform, my emphasis is strictly on human behavior. I deliberately steer clear of ideological, religious, or political dogmas. Instead, I bring to the table my extensive, in-depth knowledge and experience as a Forensic Psychologist (examining the deeper motivations behind human actions) and as an Information Analyst (separating noise from facts, an expertise refined within organizations such as PwC). My work operates at the dynamic intersection of strategic management challenges and behavioral sciences.

My objective is to write both long-form and short-form articles on a daily basis. These pieces are meant to serve as a catalyst for dialogue—allowing us to reflect collectively on the events around us and to arrive at better, shared insights. This website is the core of the project, offering various features that support our joint quest for clarity, transparency, and peace of mind.
